Royal Visit Paris

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official two-day visit to Paris on 17th and 18th March. Their Royal Highness’ visit is at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The itinerary will include a reception for young French leaders from a variety of fields, a formal dinner at the residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador and attendance at the Wales vs. France Six Nations test at the Stade de France.

Here are the confirmed events:


  • On arrival in Paris on Friday, The Duke and Duchess will meet with French President François Hollande at the Élysée Palace
  • Duke & Duchess will then go to a reception at the British Embassy honouring the cultural ties between the UK and France
  • After that reception, the Duke & Duchess will attend a black-tie dinner hosted by the British Ambassador to France, Edward Llewellyn


  • The Duke and Duchess visit Les Invalides (also known as Hôtel National des Invalides)
  • The Duke & Duchess will attend the France vs. Wales Six Nations Rugby Match at the Stade de France.  The match begins at 3:45 local time (9:45 am ET/ 6:45 am PT)
