The Duchess of Cambridge and the Countess of Wessex, also known as Kate and Sophie, hosted a reception celebrating the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange at Buckingham Palace.
The Commonwealth Fashion Exchange connected designers, artisans, and others working in the fashion industry in nations throughout the commonwealth. Examples include a collaboration between Stella Mccartney and India-based artisan brand Oshadi to create a cocktail dress made from traditional Indian fabrics.
The event was attended by some other well-known names and designers, such as Stella McCartney herself, Princess Beatrice, iconic Vogue editor Anna Wintour, and other major designers who worked on the project. Learn more about the initiative here: http://bit.ly/2sEWT8k
