The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Roe Green Junior School in Brent today to launch the “Mentally Healthy Schools” initiative. The program is a further development of the Heads Together campaign, which seeks to advance the public conversation on mental health across all areas.
The Duchess, who has a particular interest in mental health issues in children, spoke about the importance of teachers in their pupils’ development, and the need for educators to have the appropriate resources at hand. The goal of “Mentally Healthy Schools” is to give teachers the tools they need to have important mental health discussions with young students.
