The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Manchester today for the Children’s Global Media Summit, where Prince William gave the keynote speech.
The summit focuses on the future of media for today’s young people. Digital technology will play a huge role in the lives of children, and today’s discussion was on how to redesign and shape that future.
William and Kate have focused many charitable efforts towards raising awareness and discussions on cyber bullying and online safety.
At the summit, William and Kate attended a number of workshops, focus groups, and discussions on media and technology in the future.
The Duke of Cambridge gave a powerful keynote speech, where he poignantly said, “we have put the most powerful information technology in human history into the hands of our children – yet we do not yet understand its impact on adults, let alone the very young.”
Today’s event was very inspiring and eye-opening. The future of media and technology, and how it will affect the children in our world, should be a bigger discussion.
For today’s event, Kate looked very warm and very chic. She wore a new LK Bennett coat in a grey tweed print and had a stylish Goat “Elodie” dress underneath.
She accessorized with Tods shoes and Mappin & Webb earrings.
We look forward to seeing a bit more of Kate in the next few weeks before the annual Christmas holiday season!
