Here at WWKD, we’ve done our fair share of gift guides over the last five years. From “What would Kate ask for?” to “What would you buy the Queen?”, we have covered every gift idea on the planet. This year, we decided to do it a little differently – what is on the editor’s Christmas list? If you’re the repliKate-er who has it all, living the royally-inspired lifestyle in your country home with your English prince (like me!), prepare to send this list to your own prince so he has some ideas.
So what am I sending on my list to Santa’s elves?
I have had this brand on my wish list forever (cough, ahem) and while I am tempted by Meghan Markle’s Maya Brenner necklace, I think I am a classic jewelry girl at heart. I was married this past April, so a necklace with our anniversary, or a quote from the poem read at our wedding, or just my new initials would be really special. They have gift options for literally everyone, but my inner-duchess can’t say no to their Duchess necklace, as seen on Kate!
A few months ago, my own sweet “Lupo” decided to munch on my favorite Ray-Ban folding wayfarers (sob!). I have been “roughing it” with an inexpensive pair since then, but I would love to replace them with another pair – or, honestly, a personalized Finlay + Co pair as seen on Meghan! What can I say, I love a good monogram…
Molton Brown is one of London’s iconic brands – you’ll find their products in every high-end hotel and restaurant bathroom in the city, and I’m pretty sure you’ll find it in Kate’s shower. This is the only bath soap I use, and I can honestly say a bottle lasts at least six months. I purchased a bottle of Star Anise and Lily of the Valley for my wedding, as lily of the valley were my wedding flowers, and am only now running dangerously low (that was seven months ago!). I’d love to replace it with the ultra-luxe, ultra-beautiful Oudh Accord & Gold, which has real gold flakes in it. If that isn’t royal luxury, I don’t know what is…
When Pippa was spotted with Pop & Suki’s camera bag, I knew it was the It-Bag of all It-Bags. All the London ladies that I love have been seen with one (except Kate, but I hope she secretly has one in her closet with DOC monogrammed on the bottom). I’d love one in a classic navy or oxblood with my new last name on the bottom – again, I can’t resist a monogram… and this bag is just so COOL.
In my head, I imagine Kate waking up in the middle of the night and her pregnancy cravings lead her to the kitchen for a chocolate HobNob. There, she bumps into the Queen who is already tucking into the package. They giggle, Her Majesty hands Kate a cookie, and it remains their little late-night, Christmas eve secret. God, I hope Kate was wearing cute, ladylike, elegant pajamas like these – which also happen to feature my favorite Christmas song, and are made by one of Kate’s new favorite brands.
So there you have it folks – what do you get the repliKate-er who has it all? One of these items, hopefully. When in doubt, monogram it and buy it from London.
