The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Birmingham today to carry out a series of engagements.
Their first stop was to the Land Rover Solihull factory. They toured the plant, met with staff and apprentices, and toured the production line.
At the facility, Land Rover has a special driving course to “test out” their vehicles. Kate took a drive along the course, which looked pretty intense!
The next event was with the Aston Villa Foundation to meet with representatives from Coach Core.
Coach Core was founded in 2012 to help young people enter the fields of sports coaching and sports management.
William and Kate took part in a training session with apprentices and children who take part in these activities. It looked like loads of fun!
For the final event of the day, William and Kate visited the Acme Whistles factory, which has been family-owned since 1870.
Acme whistles has made some iconic whistles in their history, including the whistles used on the Titanic and modern police whistles.
On a sartorial note, Kate started the day in the Goat “Washington” coat, which we saw previously in 2014 when the Duchess was pregnant with Princess Charlotte.
Kate stepped out in new boots today – the Hi Ride from Russell and Bromley. She carried a Mulberry clutch and wore Kiki McDonough “Lauren leaf” earrings.
For the more casual events of the day, the Duchess changed into her Perfect Moment Sportswear red down jacket and her Sweaty Betty for New Balance trainers.
Overall, this was a fun day exploring Birmingham and getting out to the different corners of the UK for the Duke and Duchess!
