The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the annual Royal Variety Show at the London Palladium.
The Royal Variety Show is a glamorous annual fundraiser supporting the Royal Variety, a charity of which the Queen is patron.
The annual performance features some of the nation’s top artists; this year, that includes The Killers, Louis Tomlinson, James Blunt, and other major artists.
Shortly before arrivals were scheduled to take place for the event, a frightful incident took place at Oxford Station, near the Palladium, which required the whole area to be put on lockdown. Luckily, the incident was mostly due to pandemonium – and the show must go on!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived shortly after 7PM. They met with organizers from the event before taking their seats in a private balcony suite.
The evening is always a glamorous event, and Kate certainly stuck to the dress code! The Duchess wore a shimmering, bejeweled dress from Jenny Packham. The icy blue dress was a bespoke creation based off of an A/W 17 design.
The Duchess accessorized with more glittering pieces – her Oscar de la Renta “Cabrina” pumps, Jenny Packham clutch, and diamond chandelier earrings borrow from the Queen.
William and Kate have attended this event many times, and it is always a highlight for royal watcher in the beginning of the Christmas season! We look forward to the Duchess’ next few events!
