Today, the gardens at Buckingham Palace played host to a spring tea party hosted by Kate, William and Harry. This special event was held for the children of men and women who died serving their country in the armed forces.
The party, at which over 850 guests were in attendance, resembled a fair, with face-painting and cupcake decorating stalls, circus acts, and a live performance by pop singer Jess Glynne. According to Yahoo! Style, Prince Harry shared that he was certain that the gardens at Buckingham Palace had never seen so much fun.
Kate, Harry and William hoped that the party would allow the families in attendance to get to know each other and expand their support network.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore a cream-colored frock that fans will recognize from her trip to Canada last fall (worn at another children’s party). This knitted dress by French fashion label Chloe was the perfect choice for an afternoon tea party in the May sunshine.
With lacy detail in the bodice and soft movement in the skirt, this dress was an elegant and appropriate choice for today’s party.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore her Kiki McDonough diamond hoops and Annoushka Pearl Drop earrings, and Monsoon wedges in Fleur.
Kate, William and Harry appeared to be having a great deal of fun throughout the party, which undoubtedly made it a wonderful experience for all in attendance.
