After a brief morning engagement with the Irish Guards, Kate and William quickly made the trip across the Channel via private jet to commence their Royal Visit of Paris.
The Visit began with William and Kate paying a visit to Elysée Palace, where they met with French President François Hollande. During the short visit, the French President spoke in English with the Royal couple in front of cameras. Rebecca English shared that the Duke off Cambridge only spoke basic conversational French while the Duchess spoke none.
You may have been like us and quite surprised when Kate arrived to the engagement in the same Catherine Walker coatdress she had worn to the morning’s engagements in London. She also carried the same clutch and wore the same Monica Vinader Siren Wire Earrings, Cartier Ballon Bleu watch and Gianvito Rossi green suede shoes. In contrast to this morning’s chic chignon, Kate let her hair down for the meeting with the French President.
Following the visit, there was a quick change for the Duke and Duchess to attend a reception at the British Embassy. Kensington Palace shared the image below and that this special event is launching “Les Voisins” – translated to neighbours – a celebration of UK and French ties.
Kate stunned in a gorgeous black Alexander McQueen dress with a thin leather belt to accentuate her tiny waist. She paired the dress with black Gianvito Rossi Ankle Strap Suede Heels, her Balenciaga pearl earrings and a new pearl necklace and ring, believed to be from the same Balenciaga set.
