The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the UK and India Year of Culture Reception at Buckingham Palace today, an event hosted by Her Majesty the Queen. The Queen hosted the reception to mark the launch of the UK-India Year of Culture 2017.
Guests were greeted by musicians and dancers as they arrived at Buckingham Palace, and were treated to over 5,000 delicious canapes, from Raj Puri and Soya Gujjia. There were everything from Salmon Blinis to Crème Brûlée. The image below, from the Royal Family on Twitter, shows a look at the delicious food awaiting guests.
Kate wore a new dress for the event by Canadian designer Erdem. The ‘Rhona’ floral pleated dress is a stunning dress that was manufactured in the UK. The pleated long sleeve dress was been crafted from silver floral lace complete with a waist belt and mid-length skirt.
We were also treated to a new pair of fancy shoes for the Duchess as well, the Platinum Lamé Cabrina pumps by Oscar de la Renta. Kate wore new earrings by Indian designer Anita Dongre to pair with her dress.
