You may have noticed that this past weekend our WWKD Official Instagram, @WWKD_Official, looked a little different as WWKD co-Editor, Christine, launched our newest initiative. Our very first #MyRoyalWeekend Instagram takeover happened this past weekend – a feature where we have a reader, team member or royal fan “take over” our Instagram account to share what a Kate-inspired weekend looks like for them.
It’s no secret that we love Instagram. Whether we get to see the latest and greatest repliKates that have found their way into your closets, drool over amazing backdrops of weekend trips, fawn over pictures of your own Prince and Princesses, or learn how Kate’s charitable work has prompted yours… It’s a constant source of creative energy for those of us who seek to be inspired by the Duchess of Cambridge. Seeing fellow royal fans incorporate elements of Kate’s life into their own is not only the premise behind this very blog, but rewarding for all of us seeking to add refinement and regality to our own realities.
So how did Christine enjoy a royally inspired weekend? First, let’s meet Christine. She’s familiar to many of you as an Editor here at WWKD, but you may not know that she lived in hotels most of her life, a la Eloise…. Or that she loves old books, good tea, Richard Curtis movies, surprises, and the way English men say “blueberries”. She strives every day to live a more inspired life around Washington, D.C. with her fiancé and her dog, Duke.
For Christine‘s royally inspired #MyRoyalWeekend, she spent the weekend at her very own version of Anmer Hall, her country getaway. We got to peek in on how she gets around (No Range Rover… Yet…), her favourite comfy t-shirt (it’s from WWKD!) and learn all about her favourite tea (very Kate inspired!)
You can check out all of Christine‘s royally-inspired weekend on the WWKD_Official Instagram feed!
Are you interested in being the next person to take over our Instagram account for #MyRoyalWeekend? We would LOVE to hear from you. You can send us a DM on Instagram or send us an e-mail and we can get rolling. If you’re curious about what is involved, we’ve typed up exactly what we would need from you – and have 10 incredible points on why it’s awesome – right here you can check out.
Stay tuned for next month’s #MyRoyalWeekend for even more inspiration on how you can lead a more regal, refined and Kate-inspired life everyday.

When I saw her pics on IG I thought she was away in the English countryside, I didn’t realise til now she was in the US
She likes to think that she is in the English Countryside 😉 but yes, she’s in the US!
