We saw a more casual Kate for today’s engagements in Cornwall (visit this post for full engagement details) and the Kate community was both excited (Her pants were $25!) and exhausted (the lines in that shirt, did they line up with this one? That one?). I personally loved the look on the Duchess. It’s very much in line with her casual clothing personal style – skinny pants and a blazer are her thing – but the ikat print added a level of fun and casual to the look. I also love when she includes pieces in her look that are so accessible for people to also acquire for their wardrobes.
Let’s take a peek at what the Duchess wore for today’s events, shall we?
Gap Bi-Stretch Skinny Ankle Pants in Blue Ikat
Kate wore a pair of pants today from a store that I’m sure most of us are very familiar with – the GAP! Wearing GAP’s Bi-Stretch Skinny Ankle pants in Blue Ikat, Kate reminded us all why she’s such an expert at pairing high & low. The blue ikat print pants were originally available for $55, but were marked down recently to $24.97 – and several Kate fans were undoubtedly able to snatch up a pair quickly before they were sold out in their sizes. At time of writing, the pants are still available online in extremely limited sizes, especially if you are outside of the US. Perhaps a trip to your local shop’s clearance section is in order for this weekend? 😉
Ribbed Cream Top
There is much debate still raging about the top – and it is so difficult to pin down the specifics on items like these! We will continue to search, but for now we know that the top is a cream coloured ribbed top that looks fantastic with the slim pants on Kate’s frame.
Smythe One-Button Blazer
A classic we have seen in Kate’s wardrobe time and time again. The Smythe blazer first appeared on the Royal Tour of Canada in 2011 – Smythe is a Canadian design team – and if I had to bet, we would see this again for the next Royal Tour as well. It’s a classic one button blazer that the Duchess loves to pair with everything from dresses to jeans. Smythe actually renamed the blazer Duchess in Kate’s honour.
Monsoon Fleur Espadrille Wedges
We saw these wedges yesterday, so not a surprise to see them again today. We have all the details about the shoes and RepliKates here.
LK Bennett Natalie Clutch
Again, saw this clutch yesterday and it’s not surprising to see it make a reappearance today. We have all the details about the shoes and RepliKates here.
Sebago Boat Shoes
After the morning events in Cornwall, Kate changed into her Sebago Boat shoes to… Ride a boat! For the events on the Isles of Sicily, she wore her trusty Sebago boat shoes. The classic tan and white shoes are often repeated in her wardrobe for casual events.
Definitely her favourite pair – this pair of sunglasses have been everywhere that the Duchess herself has gone over the last few years. A classic staple in her wardrobe, for sure! We have all the details about the sunglasses and RepliKates here.
