Game, set, match! We were all thrilled to see Kate attend Wimbledon today to watch the women’s semi-final match. Kate watched from the Royal Box with the Chairman of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, Philip Brooke as well as Countess Sophie and various celebrities.
Kate wore a repeat dress for today’s event – the infamous “banana” dress first seen in Sydney in 2014. The Roksanda Ilincic dress was a popular choice for the Australian Tour, and was again perfectly summery and appropriate choice for a tennis match. The golden yellow shift dress by Roksanda Ilincic was bespoke, based off of the Ryedale dress from Ilincic’s S/S 14 collection.
She paired the dress with Rupert Sanderson Mallory heels, her Cartier Ballon Bleu watch, a new pair of earrings from Soru Jewlery (that she also wore the previous night to the Museum of the Year Awards) and excitedly for royal watchers, she carried a purse! We rarely see Kate with handbags, so we were thrilled to see her turn to Victoria Beckham’s Quincy purse in cream/white to complete the look.
It was a very fun event for everyone, undoubtedly for tennis fan Kate as well based on her facial expressions during the match!
Kate also made what we believe to be her “debut” on Snapchat with Serena Williams. (Click on image to see video!)
Be sure to check out the repliKates for today’s look in WWKD’s RepliKate database!
It’s also been added to our “As Seen on Kate” Page.
