Can you believe today was the LAST DAY of this Royal Tour? We can not – there were so many great moments this tour, and day seven did not disappoint as it delivered on its promise to end with photographs that will surely be iconic. Be sure to read all the details about the day here, and keep reading for the fashion updates!
Outfit #1 : Departing Bhutan
As Will and Kate departed rainy Bhutan, tiny squeals of excitement happened around the royal watcher world as we saw Kate in a universally favourite piece we have seen her wear before – her Alexander McQueen Embroidery Anglaise two piece suit, last seen in Singapore. It’s such a classic, well cut and beautiful piece that is one we have all been hoping to see again.
Outfit: Alexander McQueen Broderie Anglaise two-piece suit (No longer available, other styles here)
Necklace: Gift from Queen of Bhutan
Clutch: LK Bennett Natalie Raffia Clutch
The necklace from the Queen is one that Bhutanese media were quoted as saying that it represented “One of the eight auspicious symbols in Buddhism & symbolizes the union of wisdom and great compassion.”
Outfit #2 : Taj Mahal Visit
We next saw the Royal couple as they emerged at the iconic Taj Mahal. There is a great piece by the Telegraph which covers some of the background of the designer (Naeem Khan) and the dress – considering this dress came from a collection last sold in November 2015, this has been in the planning stages for quite some time! The Naeem Khan dress that Kate chose to wear was a gorgeous white with blue detailing and really stood out against the backdrop of the Taj Mahal.
Dress: Naeem Khan (No longer available, other styles here)
Earrings: Bought on hike in Bhutan yesterday (!)
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban Wayfarers
We hope everyone enjoyed the tour immensely and we personally want to thank the entire community for the wonderful comments, debates and chatter that often occurred in the middle of the night or very early in the morning. We will be back with more repliKate posts over the next couple of weeks to wrap up all the tour coverage – and a couple of very exciting giveaways – so stay tuned!
