Day four has come and gone and Kate wore two new outfits today… Including PANTS! It marks the first time we’ve seen her in anything other than a dress on this tour. It won’t be the last though with a hike coming up – so we are expecting at least one more pair! The first pair of pants came up at the first event on day four, a safari through Kaziranga.
Outfit #1 : Pants for a Safari
You just can’t safari in a dress! We were not surprised to see Kate in pants, but were surprised to see her hair down (temperatures were a soaring 34 degrees Celsius!) and not in a ponytail or up. But it did make for some gorgeous photos…
So what made up her morning outfit?
Earrings: Kiki Mcdonough citrine pear-shaped drops
Shoes: Sebago Bala Boat Shoes
The scarf that Kate had with her is new and of Indian origin. While sold out on the company’s website, it certainly sounds heavenly.
This uniquely soft garment is hand combed each spring from the feathery neck and chest wool of the “Chyangra” (Capra Hircus), the Himalayan mountain goat. The Chyangra’s coat is one of the animal world’s most ingenious creations: living at altitudes ranging from 12 000 to 14 000 feet – where temperatures can drop as low as 10 degrees F – this mountain goat’s coat is designed to retain heat without weighing it down. The Chyangra’s pelt is the most insulating in the world – it is formed by a unique, short and incredibly thin inner coat of hair. This is known to the world as Pashmina, the most luxurious out of all the 100% cashmere shawls.
Outfit #2 : Back to Dresses for Elephant Park & Village Visit
Kate changed into another dress – and another budget dress – for a visit to a rural village near Kaziranga as well as the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation.
Shoes: Pied-a-Terre Karley Wedges (formerly Imperia)
Tomorrow, we head to Bhutan so stay tuned for some more fashion choices. We are very excited for photos of William & Kate with the King & Queen of Bhutan, sure to be breathtaking.
