The third day of the Royal Tour started off with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visiting Salaam Baalak, an organization helping vulnerable street children living at Delhi’s railway station. As expected, they were very involved with the children, getting down on the floor and playing with them as well as focussing their conversation around the mental health support that the children received at the centre.
At the personal request of Prince William, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had a private meeting with a group of women to learn more about the social and cultural issues affecting India’s women. They heard harrowing stories of domestic abuse, acid attacks, and political struggles from women who have survived and thrived from these issues.
Kate looked gorgeous and perfectly appropriate for the occasion in yet another beautiful dress by high street designer Glamorous. The maxi dress retails for £50 and is being restocked. She paired it with Russell & Bromley flats to be sure she could interact with the children. The details on the fashion side of the day will come in a separate style recap.
Following the visits this morning, William & Kate had a formal lunch with the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Most of the visit remains private, although some pictures of their initial meeting have surfaced.
For the meeting with Prime Minister Modi, he Duchess of Cambridge wore a stunning green Temperley London dress. The dress is called the “Desdemona,” which the Duchess had altered to include some modesty panels. Kate also wore her LK Bennett “Natalie” clutch and “Fern” heels, which LK Bennett confirmed are made in “trench leather.”
Later in the day, the Duke and Duchess visited Kaziragna National Park, where they snuggled up around a campfire. They were treated to musical and dance performances by locals to celebrate the Bohag Bihu festival and the Assamese New Year.
For the evening events, Kate wore a beautiful teal printed maxi dress by Anna Sui. She paired it with her Pied a Terre black wedges for easy walking. The incredible Anna from My Small Obsessions was able to share that Kate’s earrings date back to 2006!
Tomorrow is another exciting day of the Royal Tour! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will spend the day at Kaziragna learning about the wildlife programs the area provides and meeting locals.
