Day Four already! Can you believe it?! The day started early for the Duke and Duchess with a safari around Kazirangha National Park.
The scenery at the park is worthy of taking a few moments to thoroughly enjoy – just look at this elephant!
Will and Kate hopped into a jeep and took off on a safari around the grounds.
We will update Kate’s full look later in our fashion recap, but she wore biker pants from Zara, a cream RM Williams diamond-print blouse, Ray-Ban sunglasses, Kiki McDonough citrine earrings and Sebago boat shoes.
Following their safari, the Duke and Duchess then visited with Park Rangers to discuss the important issues of conservation and protecting the park’s natural habitat.
Following their time in the National Park, Will and Kate moved to the rural Pan Bari village on the outskirts of the park to meet with locals.
Kate changed into a TopShop dress, Pied-a-Terre wedges and Accessorize earrings (again, more fashion details in separate fashion post) for the event and had her hair pulled back.
The Duke and Duchess enjoyed a tour of a tea plantation and a cuppa before heading out to the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation and visiting with the animals themselves.
After meeting with the adorable baby animals, the couple moved to the Kaziranga Discovery Centre built by Elephant Family, the charity founded by Mark Shand, late brother of The Duchess of Cornwall. Their Royal Highnesses had an opportunity to meet with villagers who have been relocated by the charity to keep them safely out of the path of an elephant corridor. Before departing, The Duke and Duchess put the finishing touches on an elephant sculpture to officially mark the ‘call for artists’ for India’s elephant parade.
Tomorrow, the tour moves to Bhutan! There was an earthquake felt in the region tonight, but everyone was OK and there are no expected delays. You can get all the details of the coming events in Bhutan on our Royal Tour page.
