We knew that Kate’s clothes in Bhutan would likely be bright and colourful – of that there was no doubt. But the looks she chose were, as always, perfectly selected for her engagements. You can get more details on the engagements here – and let’s get to the clothes!
Outfit #1 : Departure from India in Repeat Tory Burch
We got some (blurry) shots of Will and Kate departing India this morning to board a plane to Bhutan and the ability of royal bloggers to ID clothes from blurry photographs will never cease to amaze us. Kate wore a repeat to board the plane, a wise move seeing as the photos would never be as widely circulated as the rest of the day’s events. Kate had worn the dress back at a minimally photographed event in 2014 for Place2Be. The dress was from a 2014 collection, now out of stock. (Thanks to Victoria Murphy for the photo!)
Dress: Tory Burch Chrissy
Outfit #2 : Arrival in Bhutan in Emilia Wickstead
After arriving in Bhutan, Will and Kate got off the plane in new clothes – Kate chose to wear another piece we have seen before, her Emilia Wickstead custom gold coat dress that we had previously seen at the 2012 Order of the Thistle. It had been altered, with a belt being added. She paired the dress with LK Bennett Fern pumps, LK Bennett Natalie clutching a new pair of currently unidentified earrings.
Coat: Bespoke Emilia Wickstead custom gold coat dress
Outfit #3 : Meeting the King & Queen of Bhutan
After a quick change at their hotel, the Taj Tashi, which we HAD to share a photo of, Will and Kate went to meet the King and Queen of Bhutan.
Kate changed into a more traditional Bhutanese outfit including a cape from Paul & Joe and long skirt. The cape featured intricate floral stitching all done in India, and marked the first time the Duchess has worn an item from the brand. The skirt was made with fabric woven by a Bhutanese woman, Kelzang Wangmo, and sewn by a mysterious tailor in London.
Skirt: Bespoke with fabric by Kelzang Wangmo
Outfit #4 : Private Dinner in Tory Burch
After a day filled with events, the Duke and Duchess joined the King and Queen for a private dinner. It looked to be more casual with William wearing trousers and a blazer. Kate wore her second Tory Burch outfit of the day, although it was one we had not seen before.
Earrings: Same as this morning, still unidentified.
Wow! There has been so much going on these last few days and THERE ARE STILL MORE LOOKS TO COME! See you all tomorrow.
