The Duchess of Cambridge was in Warminster visiting the Action on Addiction Treatment Studies Centre. Catherine has been a royal patron of Action on Addiction since 2012.
Action on Addiction is the UK’s only charity working with addiction research, prevention, and treatment, as well as professional development and family support for those suffering from addiction. The Centre for Addiction Treatment Studies works with the University of Bath to “raise the standards” in addiction treatment.
The Duchess of Cambridge joined a focus group with recent University of Bath graduates to learn more about their training in addiction counseling. She was able to personally congratulate with the recent graduates, who will go on to careers in addiction counseling and treatment.
On a brief sartorial note, the Duchess wore a new houndstooth coat by Reiss, a teal bespoke dress by Emilia Wickstead, and Stuart Weitzman shoes.
The Duchess of Cambridge has shown true dedication to causes supporting mental health and wellness throughout the last few months. The visit was another spotlight on the importance of medical counseling and treatment for those suffering from addiction.
