Today marked Remembrance Sunday in the UK and thousands of veterans and those honouring them were in the streets of London.
Kate viewed the memorials from the balcony of the Foreign Office along with Tim Lawrence (Princess Anne’s husband), Queen Maxima of the Netherlands (King Willem-Alexander was part of ceremonies to remember 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands) and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex.
While not wanting to diminish the significance of today’s event, given our blog we will also share that Kate wore a bespoke Alexander McQueen patchwork coat (likely based on this patchwork McQueen coat). She paired it with a new hat we have not seen before, her Kiki McDonough Diamond Hoops with Annoushka Pearl Drop earrings, a clutch and several poppies honouring the veterans close to her heart.
It was a somber occasion, marked with remembrance of all those who have selflessly given their lives in support of their country and we humbly thank them for their service.
