When Kate stepped out in a buttercup yellow dress, holding Princess Charlotte in her arms, we all went “Awwwww.” And, after we were done crying into our champagne glasses, we began to hunt for repliKates. Kate’s buttercup print was a bespoke piece by Jenny Packham, so naturally we needed a version of our own.
Kate’s dresses worn on the steps with George and later Charlotte have been remarkably spared from the repliKate market. Some dresses have full-fledged recreated frocks within hours, but surprisingly not these two bespoke Jenny Packham numbers. We scoured the internet and low-and-behold, a picture perfect repliKate arrived:
Elaborately titled the “Kate Style Yellow White Buttercup Floral Print Cotton Dress size 8 10 12 14 16” on eBay, this buttercup print shift dress is priced at £39 plus shipping. It is made of 50% cotton and 50% viscose, perfect for summer garden parties. The seller is a popular China-based retailer of repliKates, so although you get what you pay for, they have many positive reviews.
For those looking to save on shipping or buy in store, we found these fabulous lookalikes! What do you think?
