When we learned that the Duchess of Cambridge drank the Apple juice and joined the cult-like community of iPhone users, we were excited because it meant we have something in common with her (besides our own gorgeous looks) Yippee! There are tons of apps dedicated to social media, gastronomy, music and more, but what about fashion? Whether you’re royalty or not let’s face it, sometimes you just don’t want to get out of your PJ’s and face humanity. These fashion apps come to the rescue and are perfect for Kate who wants to stay clear of the paparazzi’s prying eyes!
One day while scrolling my Twitter feed, I stumbled upon Mallzee which was described as “The personal shopper in your pocket” and was immediately intrigued. This app starts off by showing you a few items of clothing, and you either swipe to like it or swipe to discard it, so it gets to know your own personal style. Once it learns your taste, it will then only show you items that it thinks you will love. With over 200 brands to choose from, your choices are endless and it carries some of Kate’s favorite places to shop such as Reiss, Zara, and Ted Baker. Not sure if a certain top will flatter you? No problem, you can connect with your friends and ask their opinion! I can definitely see Kate sending an outfit to Pippa for some sisterly advice…
Do you have a great wardrobe but need a little help putting together stylish outfits? Well Stylebook is here to help conquer the magical beast that is your closet. This app makes it quick and easy to upload pictures of all the clothing and accessories you have so you can reference it at anytime, and mix and match combinations for different looks. The greatness doesn’t end there however; you can also get style inspiration, advice, create packing lists, organize your looks by different events, and add favorite looks to your calendar so you don’t have to scramble in the morning to decide what to wear! This app is a Godsend for ensemble regulation and would surely come in handy for Kate’s upcoming Australia/New Zealand tour.
Closet + is another wonderful app that focuses on yup you guessed it, your closet! Sometimes you forget what you own, or things get buried and you can’t find them, but with this app your whole fine regalia is stored in one place for you to sift through and make unique outfit combinations. A favorites list helps keep track of the clothing you wear the most, and the “profile” of each article of clothing shows how many times you have worn it, the cost, and the cost per wear, which is helpful for justifying those $600+ Aquatalia boots you just bought. No matter how many designer outfits she can afford to wear, Kate is a lady who loves to economize which makes this app perfect for her!
What are some of your favorite fashion apps?
