It was the groan heard around the world… last week, Kate stepped out in the gorgeous Temperley “Amoret” gown. There is no doubt that this gown is stunning, but royal watchers were quick to note that this was the THIRD outing in this dress. It has clearly become one of Kate’s favorite gowns, and with good reason. The floor length black lace gown boasts a v-neck, 3/4 length sleeves and a velvet belt. The fit-and-flare cut is incredibly flattering on Kate’s figure and it doesn’t require many accessories.
The Duchess of Cambridge has worn the dress three times: first to the premiere of War Horse in 2011, second to the 600th anniversary of St. Andrew’s University, and third – and most recently – to a screening of David Attenborough’s film, “Alive.” From a theater, to a ballroom, to a museum, the dress fits many different venues.
This dress will become iconic for Kate. Dare I say, it might not be the last time we see the Temperley Amoret gown. Especially during this time of year, when we have so many parties to attend, we need a Amoret repliKate. Channel the Duchess of Cambridge’s style with these gorgeous dresses:
What do you think? Do you love or hate the Temperley Amoret? Kate’s best look or time to retire?
