Fall is officially here and I know I’m welcoming it with opened arms! If you’re lucky enough to live in a cooler part of US or UK, you might already be experiencing that familiar drop in temperature, change in leaves, and crisp scented air. It’s the perfect time of the year to get out of your flat and enjoy all the season has to offer. I figured we could take a lesson from Kate today, who always the outdoors woman knows how to have fun while in nature. She is one princess that surely knows how to get dirty. Here are a few of Kate’s favorite outdoor activities that we can all do to live this Fall to its fullest!
Go For A Hike
There is something about taking a walk in nature that is the perfect way to clear your head while working up a sweat. Fall is the perfect time to do this since the air is cool and the views beyond pretty. It’s known that Kate and William would take walks on the beach near their house in Anglsey. If you’re not lucky enough to have your own private beach like the Duchess, find a state park near you and take a visit.
Get Out On The Water
Sure, you can’t go swimming anymore now that the temperatures have cooled off, but Fall is the perfect time for water sports that require a paddle. Whether it’s hopping in a canoe like Kate or taking a kayak down a lazy river, Fall water sports are an amazing arm workout and fun at the same time. Undoubtedly, if you have a lake or river near you, there is someone renting equipment. Wear your life vest and take some time while on the water to reflect and breathe deep while looking at all the pretty leaves. Then race your significant other back to shore, beating him. It’s what Kate would do.
Have A Campfire
It just wouldn’t be Fall without one campfire. I mean, how else are you expected to roast marshmallows! Because of the cooler nights, Fall evenings are perfect for being spent around a fire. If you can’t make one in your backyard, a nice fireplace at home could suffice. Just lie out a picnic blanket and make sure there are sticks for roasting. It couldn’t hurt to sip on some mulled apple cider.
Don’t let this beautiful season slip by without getting outside to enjoy it. Kate’s already doing so, having been spotted last week coming home from a grouse shoot while staying with the Queen at Balmoral. So take a cue from her, put on your best field coat, and go!
