My favorite outfits of Kate’s are, by far, her casual outfits. I was thrilled to see pictures of her looking prettier than me (despite being 8 months pregnant) while shopping for furniture for Kensington Palace. I was even happier to see her not painfully annoyed at the photographs being taken, unlike some paparazzi outings.
Invest in a casual blue dress, like this one from Marc by Marc Jacobs ($162). Wear it like Kate in the springtime, on its own in the summer, and with tights, boots and a jacket in the fall. The possibilities with a navy dress are endless, which is why we’ve seen Kate wearing one quite a few times.
Invest in a Longchamp Le Pliage bag ($145). You haven’t bought one yet?! Kate was seen with hers yet again. Personally, us ladies at WWKD swear by them. They are great for your water bottle and sunscreen in summer (they’re water resistant and sturdy!!) as well as your Christmas cards to be sent and cookies to be delivered in winter (they’re gigantic!!). You won’t be sorry about this one.
Steal this J. Crew cardigan in a bold color ($55/65). We love the light pink or lime green with the navy. This high-quality piece (adorably named “Jackie”) will be a perfect staple for spring and summer. Kate looked great in her LK Bennett “Bella” sweater in berry, but you might find that “sea glass” or “modern red” is more your stride.
Steal these Marks and Spencer wedges ($30). They are a dead ringer for the Pied-a-Terre Imperia wedges. Black is classic, and will compliment this outfit well, but you can get the “Grey Mix” for a similar coloring. These wedges will be a closet staple for you – out shopping, out to dinner, out to church, casual Fridays – see what I’m saying? You need them in your closet.
