Wardrobe Wednesday: Tropical Holiday

steal kates summer style

The WWKD team is so ready for a summer holiday (Mustique, anyone?!), somewhere sunny and warm with white sandy beaches. No tourists, no Wi-Fi, just friends and family and umbrella drinks. We can look to Kate’s style for inspiration on what to pack.

Kate always sticks to classic cut bathing suits in colors that flatter her skin tone. A classic style bikini, like the Vix Bia, will be in style for a while. If bikinis are not your style, a Miraclesuit one-piece is the answer for you. Pick something that flatters you and makes you feel like a princess!

For romantic walks on the beach or building sandcastles, a maxi dress is comfortable, casual and very chic. Just like Kate’s TAV dress (which she loved so much she made a last-minute outfit change), this one from BooHoo has a gorgeous pink and purple pattern to it. You can also check out this dress from Oasis, a Kate-favorite brand, in a bold color and beautiful pattern.

Oceanside dinners with your sweetheart call for something a little dressier. Similar to Kate’s Joseph dress and with broderie anglaise details, this Jessica Simpson dress would be really lovely. Before her honeymoon in the Seychelles, Kate bought a dress just like this one from Warehouse.

Take advantage of the sandy beaches and spend as much time as possible barefoot. For special events (like that romantic dinner we mentioned), pick out a stylish wedge, like these from Sperry that remind us of Kate’s Stuart Weitzman Minx wedges.

Above all, have fun! Relax and enjoy your summer holiday in style. Don’t forget to take pictures!
