Every woman deserves the perfect pair of jeans, and Kate is no exception. She L-O-V-E-S her J.Brand 811 jeans. At $150+ a pair, the brand boasts great quality with great style.
I had heard fabulous things about J.Brand jeans. They have a quiet chicness to them. Unlike a Louis Vuitton bag, the only tell of a J.Brand jean are two neon green stitch lines on the waistband. A favorite of the social elite, J.Brand is the hot brand for denim right now.
Launched in 2004, J.Brand’s goal is to be every woman’s perfect pair of jeans. The California-based company aims to “create timeless, classic and sophisticated jeans with an emphasis on fit and the inspiration to make a woman look and feel beautiful in her jeans.” That’s every woman’s dream, right? And while many have tried, few have succeeded on this mission. A jean for every woman? HA! HahaHA! Yeah, right. That’s what I thought. I love all things Kate, but I was so sure J.Brand was for the twigs of the world.
I have a teeny waist, but baby-bearing hips, and twigs for ankles. If it fits, it looks funny – if it looks good, it doesn’t fit. Ah, jeans. How I hate you.
I wandered into a boutique one weekend and low-and-behold, J.Brand was on sale. It was a sign, right?! So I tried on a pair in my size. They were…okay. They looked good. They zipped well and all. But bending, or walking for that matter, was not happening. They were 811’s, and I figured J.Brand just wasn’t for me. Until I logged onto the J.Brand website and used their Fit Guide. They recommended 620s. What? You mean there isn’t just one skinny jeans? Nope – there’s about twelve different cuts of skinny jeans. I ordered them sight-unseen in my normal size, and they arrived in the mail a few days later.
Oh. My. God. These are the best jeans you’ll ever own. I slept in these babies once. I could run a marathon, followed by a shopping spree, followed by a hot date and they would look fan-freakin-tastic.
