Runway to Reality: What Kate Might Wear from New York Fashion Week

NYFW certainly felt like a royal occasion as all of fashion’s royalty gathered in Bryant Park to view the next season’s lines.  Although there were so many gorgeous pieces on the runway, we decided to turn our attention to formal wear, specifically evening gowns.

It’s hard not to feel like a Princess (or a Duchess) when wearing a long flowing evening gown.  Even though each dress might seem like the right one for you, you have to be aware of what looks best for your body type!  Once you identify what type of dress will accentuate your figure, you will feel like your best and confident self.

For example, Kate has a very petite and slender frame.  A dress that would compliment her body the best might be form fitting and strapless.  The three dresses below by Badgley Mischka, Nicola Finetti, and Monique Lhuillier (respectively) would all be great choices for Kate, or someone who has a similar body type.

Now, we realize that our average Kates are not on a Duchess budget.  For this reason, we have taken these magnificent dresses and found similar ones from David’s Bridal!
